DOVE: SOS Pillar Care Pizza Party

Service on Saturday volunteers will visit Pillar Care Continuum, an organization committed to lifelong support for adults and children with differing abilities. Student volunteers will participate in throwing a pizza party, playing games, and spend quality time with the adults from local group homes that will be present. All students MUST wear closed-toed shoes and are advised to bring water. Pizza may be available for volunteers. Once registered, students will receive an email 24-48 hours before the event outlining any additional information needed.

DOVE SOS Transportation: The event timing outlines the timeframe in which volunteers will leave campus and return to campus. Volunteers will meet the bus alongside the gym across from the library and the bookstore (by the four way stop signs and the women's basketball entrance). As part of DOVE's policy students must all leave and return to campus together unless given special permission to do otherwise.

DOVE Volunteer Absentee Policy: The success of every DOVE program depends on volunteers showing up. If you are signed up for a program and cannot attend, it is your responsibility to unregister within 2 days of the event. This will open up your spot to the next available volunteer. In case of an emergency volunteers must give their program coordinator 24-hour notice. Any volunteer who misses THREE volunteer programs without notice will no longer be able to continue volunteering with DOVE. Additionally, DOVE will not be able to verify or sign off on any completed volunteer hours for students that miss three programs.
