Residents will work in small teams as investigators tasked with solving the disappearance of a Seton Hall Pirate treasure. The theft supposedly occurred earlier that evening, and teams will receive suspect profiles, witness statements, receipts, security reports, photographs, and other pieces of evidence. However, not every clue is reliable—some evidence is fake, misleading, or completely unrelated to the case.
Teams must analyze the evidence, create a timeline, identify inconsistencies in suspects' stories, and ultimately determine who stole the treasure, where it was hidden, why it was taken, and how the theft occurred.
The program is designed to encourage residents to communicate with people they may not normally interact with while developing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a fun, low-pressure environment. The program will conclude with a dramatic case reveal and a small prize for the winning team.
